KRI WIND FARM

The Kwinana Wind Zone is Wind With Purpose’s behind-the-meter wind and storage initiative in and around the Kwinana and Rockingham industrial precincts.

Our focus is to deliver co-located renewable electricity supply supported by battery energy storage (BESS) and power management, enabling industrial customers to progress decarbonisation and electrification strategies with greater delivery certainty.

Stage 1 is planned as a 56 MW wind project with a 50 MW / 400 MWh BESS.

Stage 2 is planned as a 300 MW wind project with a 200 MW / 1,600 MWh BESS.

Across both stages, the initiative totals 356 MW of wind generation and 250 MW / 2,000 MWh of battery storage.
